Howdo I check headspace on an AK?

I have a Romanian G AK built up onto an NDS-3 receiver. I don't have any gauges or anything like that. Is there any way for me to check headspace? Or is there any gun shop in the area that will be able to do this quickly and easily that someone knows of if not? Thanks in advance!

you could take it out, put it in a vice maybe put a sandbag of the the action and pull the trigger with a string.


I use a live round and a no-go gague, I have read something about putting tape on the round so its similar to a no-go...I will see if I can find a link.
