HELP! Cant take the wire stock off my polish tantel!

I just got it in today and also recieved my shipment from tapco. I wanted to put the standard stock on but I cant get the side folder off! I took the large screw on top of the folding assembly off but nothing happens. Do I need to just beat on it like a red headed step child to get it off? I took the dust cover and the recoil spring out to see if there was another screw i was missing
