    5.45 Uppers

School me on these...I think I want to sell off my CMMG 16" upper and go with a 5.45 upper instead...Will my ceiner .22 kit work? Does anywhere still have 5.45 uppers around $600?
How much could I sell my 5.56 upper and 500 rounds of ammo for? I'd like to break evenish if possible.
    Thanks!

I too am interested in one of these uppers. I want to build one but dont know anyone selling complete barrels. if you get a good one it will have a smaller ID on the barrel for the smaller bullets. its only slightly smaller so I dont know if it will work for .22lr or not, but it is smaller than a .223 so maybe not.

Run away, run away from the bottom feeders.

If you want a 5.45 upper, get a Smith & Wesson M&P 5.45 upper. Period.

You can get a complete S&W 5.45 upper from AIM.

Yes, but be aware that they are out of stock at this time. I got one awhile back from AIM.

Some more food for thought, no one makes non-steel core 5.45. So unless you shoot in BLM land or a range that allows steel core, you'll be SOL.

I shoot mainly at BLM land. But if the ceiner won't work with it, I might pass it up altogether.
