Hammer not locking...

I just put together my AK and when I slide the bolt back, it will stick halfway on its way back and the hammer won't lock down (aka it won't be able to fire)...

Anyone else had this problem? And if so, how was it fixed?

do you have the safety off? do you have the hammer installed correctly? does the bolt carrier w/ recoil spring work without the hammer installed?

What type of receiver? caliber?

Not to sound cocky but do you have the hammer back wards? can you provide pictures? it may help.

I had the same type of problem and it took quite a bit of "massaging"
(grinding, filing & polishing) to get everything to work the way it should.

FYI: I'm using an ITM receiver and a Romy parts kit.
