    day late dollar short

talk about a day late.. dollar short.

My birthday was at the end of October. around the middle of October i said maybe i should get a new gun, i have not bought a gun since i was 21 and now im closer to 40... my dear wife could not decide what to buy me so she gave me cash for my birthday. I was watching futureweapons i think and they had the A I R.. btw that thing is BADASS. So i say to myself yeah i want a new gun and i start looking at the A I R and came across this site somehow this weekend

NOW i want a CA legal AR15 but it seems due to the election the prices have jumped astronomical and they may be banned once Obama gets in office.

well thats my story seems like i am a day late and a dollar short!!!
    oh well im here NOW!!!

    They are still out there.

Build your own or expect to pay over a grand for a complete.

Beauty of building your own is that you get the parts you want on it.

Tenpercent has a few stripped lowers in stock.

As does City arms in Pacifica....have no idea where you are.

If you can find something under $200 its good if you need it now.
Just about everyone is out of stock.

What you're talking about is probably the I.A.R. or "Infantry Automatic Rifle" developed by LWRC as a replacement for the aging M249 SAW. It fires in the semi-auto like a normal AR-15/ M-16. When set to auto, it fired from an open bolt- much like the M249 and other light machine guns using a mid-length short stroke gas piston system.

A civilian version, the M6A3, will be available sometime in 2009. Be prepared to wait though....there's already a substantial waiting list.

Try some of our out of state vendors, a few of them still have lowers at "normal" prices.

Everyone thinks the sky is going to fall tomorrow and some sellers are taking advantage of the insanity. Keep an eye out on AR15.com and some of their sponsored sellers. They won't gouge you but still stock is drying up fast for AR and AK stuff. In a few months things should die down.

You'll only pay transfer fees + DROS for the lower. Chances are the price on a lower from an out of state vendor will likely be the same as buying instate. But all the other parts can be bought cheaper and sent directly to you so you can still save a couple hundred $$$ quite easily.

Plus, there's the HUGE savings in sales tax. Shipping from out of state is almost always less than the tax of buying the exact same item in-state. And a lot of times, online sources are priced lower than retail sources.

For instance, two months ago, I called up Ammo Bros. to buy a Stag stripped lower. They wanted $189 + $15.59 tax + $25 DROS = $229. There were online sources of the same lower at $105 + $75 FFL + $25 DROS + $7 shipping = $212. That's cheaper by $17, almost enough to pick up another part like a C-Products 10/20 stainless magazine ($19), or a Magpul trigger guard ($20).

The difference is even bigger on stuff like $750+ uppers...
