    Have any of you handled the CAK 147R yet?

    Loads through a port in the magazine? How feasible is this? How easy?

    It's welded.

    How does one replace the mag if that becomes necessary?

    Seems priced a bit high at 749...

    I think if someone really wanted to make headway in the Cali market they'd produce a Saiga style rile...

    ~Good quality receiver - Global or DCI
    ~We'd be allowed detachable mags
    ~Etc.

    Of course, maybe that's just my preference...more I get into this the less I like fixed mags...they just seem kinda blah.

    And a Saiga style would probably have more widespread appeal with both Cali gun owners and FFLs as it looks more 'sporting' and less like an 'assault rifle'

    They have patented a DOJ approved mag design that loads from the back or something like that. You still won't see me dishing out 750 bucks for a welded in mag.
    Please, calm down.
