I talked with some barely English speaking person at Arsenal I think what I understood is that they did SGL is for Saiga Legeon which is a new offering. Thay may have had SLG back in Keslar days.Last edited by armandolo; 11-12-2008, 10:54 AM.Comment

can anybody explain what the difference is between the two models on this rifle?...they have one that ends with 'SP' and one that doesn't....it seems like the SPs are sold out and were a limited run...there are alot of non-sp's around but I cannot seem to get an answer from arsenal or rsr group on what exactly the difference is...Comment

Hmm. It doesn't list the differences on the site. However, I got one description off of gunbroker that the SP model is modified to accept regular high cap AK mags.
Here's a link to a previous discussion on the SGL with huge pictures showing the markings on the sides of the rifle.

yeah..I saw the same listing on gunbroker and almost bought it...until I saw the money order or check only payment option...I find it kind of strange that they don't clearly say what the difference is...the price difference is $20...so it can't be that big a difference...it's funny how paranoid the distrubutors sound when you call them to ask a simple question....they should just list it on the site...Comment
