    Firearms importers

I was wondering if anybody knew how a company like R guns or Century is literally able to approach the worlds militaries and buy their rifles ?

I can't even imagine the red tape involved, not only to purchase them from said countries military. But then importing them as a " parts kit" back into the U.S. It would make for a interesting job in geography, politics, economies to be able to do this. I know money talks, bull**** walks is the real principle here.

I have a little experience working for a government contractor. We dealt with ITAR regulated parts. But never rifles....

    Any insight?

    Watch Lord of War

Third world countries love US dollars.

If you have money, they will sell.

An AK goes for less than $100 in many countries around the world.
Countries upgrading their firearms as we buy all of their old Romi G series rifles??? They loved it.....

    In the mid 1990s-
The CZ52 went for $60 retail
Milled Bulgarian AK's were $225 at gun shows
    $60 SKS

    Hard cash was king

Romania modernized their arsenal and the old G guns were chopped and imported as kits.

    From wiki- Romanians new gear

Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)

Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT
    (thanks to Jeff Cooper)

There are plenty of other small places who have been getting batches as well. I assume they just know people on the inside that were able to buy batches that become available and then chop them up for import. Either that or there is some sort of list you become a part of that allows you to bid on bulk items that come up for grabs. Places like Apex seem to get a lot of stuff nobody else gets and I know in the past they mention the gov was buying up a lot of the available surplus they were eyeing. The thought at the time was they were likely going to arm syrian rebels with it.
