    Which NoDak Spud lower?

I really have no interest in AK's but with the presidential change I want to get a few stripped lowers so that the option is available to me in the future. I've come to understand that NoDak Spud is a good company for lowers but given that I know nothing*about AK's, I'm not sure which of the many lowers to purchase.

This is the link to their available options http://www.nodakspud.com/page2.htm

Please recommend 1 lower that would be good for me. The only thing I know is that I want the "basic/standard/iconic" AK with options for full auto if that day ever comes.

AK's really don't have lowers. They just have receivers, as opposed to an AR15 having an upper receiver and a lower receiver.

That said, you don't just pick one like an AR15 receiver. Each AK receiver is different, for example some are made for 5.45, some for 7.62, some for underfolders, some for side folders, some for RPKs, etc, etc. You can't just pick one, it depends on what parts kit you buy.

Get the NDS-3, then get a Romy G kit.

Cheapest way to get a basic, classic AK in 7.62x39.

NDS-1 is a clasic 7.62x39 AKM receiver. Works with Romy G kits, Hungarian SA-85 kits, Polish and other AKM based rifles. NDS-1P has the cutouts for an underfolding stock.

NDS-3 is a cheaper, no frills alternitive, but it works. The holes usually need to be enlarged or reamed out.

NDS-2 is for AK-74 style rifles in 5.45x39, including most of the Bulgarian kits. The NDS-2SF is for the Side-Folding stock versions of these rifles.

Then there are specialized receivers for specific kits/styles.

NDS-1KP is for AKM kits, but with the cutout for a '74 side folding triangle stock.

NDS-2T if for Polish Tantal kits.

        And so on.

You probably want either an NDS-1 or NDS-3 for a fixed stock Romy G as this is the basic, clasic AK.

If you want an underfolder - clasic and iconic in itself, the NDS-1P would be it. You can mate a Romy G front end to an underfolder stock for this if you'd like.
