    Advice on a .308 lower ?

I'm interested in building my 2nd AR-15. Does anyone have some recommendations on an excellent quality .308 lower receiver? Also wondering if there is another recommendation on a large caliber for an AR platform? My choice is .308 because of the availability of ammunition. 6.5 and 6.8 are much more uncommon. I also don't reload...yet. Thanks guys.

an AR-15 in .308 is extremely hard to find, if not impossible. You should look for an AR-10, these are much more common in .308. Actually they are the only ones that come in .308. If I were you and had the funds I would buy whichever one I could find in stock somewhere.

Noveske lower + Armalite AR-10 upper
ALL these guns are going to get SCARCE the next three months.

Yea 10-4. Noveskes sound like a great choice. Anyone know if the 6.8 can use the same lower as the 5.56?

Nice, that's a great deal then, maybe buy an upper and try it out. How's the availability on that ammo I wonder? 6.5 v. 6.8? Thanks for your input guys.

When I built my .308 AR OLL, the only that was offered was the Fulton Armory lower. I bought on the LAN World group buy when they were first offered. The upper that I put on it was DPMS AP-4 with the barrel Cryo-Accurizing. Had zero problems with it except shooting some crap surplus ammo; loves the German Surplus 7.62 ammo, though

At the time I bought my lower, there was no lowers compatible with Armalite uppers; only brand that was out there compatible with Armalite brand uppers was a Armalite lower, and they were a no-no since they were on the AW list. Since then, Aero and Noveske have come out with their lowers, so there are lowers out there that are compatible with Armalite uppers.

I have one spare lower that I need built, so for my next build it will be a 6.8 SPC with Noveske Barrel, Larue Billit upper receiver, and most likely DD Lite Rail.
