Own both, prefer the ACR. I don't care about different calibers so I love it as being a sole .223/5.56 rifle.

I've SBRed the ACR, 12.5", (I know it's not a Cali Option) and it's definitely helped me love it even more so.

Yes my SCAR is also SBRed, 10", and it is my wife's rifle.

^^It seems the reviews on the ARX are a mixed back with more leaning towards the negative. Seems like the price has gone down significantly as well as a result.

With regards to the SCAR 16, I wish I didn't weigh mine yesterday. It came in at 8.7 lbs unloaded with an Eotech on top, compared to one of my ARs with a DD RISII and H1 on top that weighed a pound less. The fricking bolt group on the SCAR is a monster.

really, bad news on the ARX? that's too bad. ok of the two listed the SCAR would be my suggestion then, with that stock adaptor the other gentleman listed, that looks nice

no, total armchair commando, just a hunch the FN has its act together a little more on this one ultimately it's the buyer's choice and what ever gets him excited about it. I do like the SCAR all kitted out with the Vltor stuff though, and regret never buying a FNC when I could have.

The ACR had it been delivered as originally designed would be the winner, however, it's been a far cry from that intended design and a major disappointment in that regard. SCAR 16 is the obvious choice between the two if you do a bit of digging into both. I do think the MR556 is a worthy opponent, as well though, definitely one to consider.

Between the 2, SCAR hands down. With that said, I also wanted something new and I got the SCAR and now, I'm back to shooting AR's. The AR is lighter and it's not front heavy like the SCAR.

Serbu SU-15, uses AR 15 barrels, bolts, CAM pins, and lower.

Does not need a buffer tube. Price is WAY less than the SCAR.

                      On another note:

i like the ACR, just wished they released a non QD front trunion so you can apply more torque on the barrel nut.

                        .
That sounds phenomenal. How long have you had yours and where did you pick it up?
