bcm 14.5 mid using A2 stock / buffer assembly

    Hey bruthas,

Just got myself a middy bcm 14.5 I want to pair it up with a lower the has an A2 stock.
I did some searches with mixed feed back. Some guys said it will have problem some say it will be fine.

Do you guys see a problem with that get up if so what would you recommend.

    Thanks in advance

You should be able to use a carbine buffer + spacer, like Spike's T2 buffer and spacer.

Not sure I'm understanding, are you concerned that it wont function with a rifle buffer and spring?

I believe even with the 14.5" barrel and mid length gas, you still have higher pressure than a 20" barrel with rifle length gas system.

Just FYI, I run a 14.5 mid length with H2 buffer and extra strong carbine spring without issue. Comparatively it's similar to a basic rifle buffer/spring.

      Edit: See for yourself: http://ar15barrels.com/prod/operation.shtml

With 5.56 it should probably be fine.
Might get finicky with some of the cooler .223 loads, esp the imported steel case stuff.

I used to run that same combo with wolf ammo and it ran fine.

Works fine for me. It does dump the brass next to me rather than launch it two lanes down.

Not quite a 14.5 but my dissipator(16" barrel) has an A2 stock and a midlength gas system. Runs flawlessly. You should be able to tweak just about any configuration of gas length and buffer system to run properly
