    Help with K-Var Furniture for WASR-22

    OK; I picked up my WASR-22 today and I started stripping off the wood furniture and have spent the better part of 2 hours now messing around with it. I have now gotten down to the last piece which is the top of the hand guard that goes on the gas tube. Can anyone tell me how to get this on? Neither end cap will move on the gas tube.

      Oh man that's gonna come out looking great!
      Place the KVAR HG under the upper handguard to complete a "circle" and twist it on.

          Well it took some major twisting but I got it done. I'm pretty pleased with the look. All I got to say is the wood furniture that comes with these rifles is really S***. I've never seen such krap like that before. I'll post pic's tomorrow.

          69Mach1 thanks for all your help on this project. The K-var furniture is really nice stuff and worth the money. I was surprised my box had 2-10rd mags in it. Now to find those 10-30rd mags for the complete look.

              That looks just like mine, except my furniture is black. That upper handguard took a serious amount of twisting to get it on. I noticed my gas block is off center, but it shouldn't effect the rifle since it's just for show.
