    How do you clean ar15?

Well! The real question is do you separate the upper and lower completely or do you leave them connect with the front pivot pin while cleaning the barrel from the breech? Thanks

Depends on what you want to accomplish: Breaking in the barrel, after a day at the range, quick cleaning.

It's up to you if you prefer to seperate the upper & lower receivers for cleaning.

For a quick cleaning of the bolt. carrier, barrel & chamber area I may leave the receiver parts attached.

For detailed cleaning, it's probably just easier to seperate the halves.

Just leave it attached at the pivot pin. That's what I did, using a bore guide and a Dewey rod.

My friend's cousin's best friend said he saw on TV that ARs are self cleaning. I'd leave it attached for cleaning.

I take em apart and put the upper in a site vice. makes it real easy. I am continplating marking all my bolts and carriers somehow to ensure I do not mix em up
