AR 10 Gas Block and Tube

Quick question - can I use an "AR 15" gas block and tube on an AR 10, or is an AR 10 specific block and tube requuired? Barrel diameter is .750 and with a 20" barrel am using "rifle length gas tube. There's lots of AR 15 .750 blocks out there, ones specified for AR 10 - not so much.

The gas blocks are interchangeable, and the DPMS-style uppers use the same gas tubes as the AR 15. I think the Armalite gas tube is a different length (longer? shorter?) than the AR 15 tube.

Thanks for the info. Brownells lists 308 type and 5.56 separately and it made me over think things a bit.

I recall seeing the AR15 and LAR gas tubes are a different height/bend on the receiver side to match up correctly with gas key.
.0750" GB will fit the tube of either type.
          Just buy the LAR/DPMS tube.

If it's dpms its all the same. Armalite gas tubes are a bit longer.

when you say AR10 that's armalite pattern, the rifle length gas tube is longer by I think 0.25 inches. if your barrel is a armalite pattern you have to make sure that is the longer correct armalite tube. If your barrel is DPMS LR308 pattern you can use a standard ar15 rifle length gas tube.

                ^^ That's right. AR10 was what I was thinking I guess.
