im into this rig on the cheap - i sold off a 24" AR upper because i felt i wasnt getting full value from my registered lower for $525 and i only paid $350 for it about 5 years ago. i bought an sps tactical for $515 shipped and used the $40 remington rebate then added a bushnell 10X40 scope off ebay through live.com for $125, a weaver tactial base for $14 and weaver 4X4 rings for another $12. here she is for only $280 out of my pocket with the sale of the upper.

i just like the looks of the shorter barrel, im thinking of picking up a .223 next. i just saw the howa 1500 heavy barrel, they have a .223 in a 20" barrel with a hogue stock for $462. thats a good price and it'll be pretty tough for me to overlook.
