The Ruger Police Carbine 9mm. Its just what I've been looking for. Uses pistol ammo too, so its not as expensive to shoot as say a .223 or a 7.62. Me happy! American Shooting Center has on for rent. I'll have to pick it up next time since I'm a range member.

I buy it by the case from American Shooting Center. I tried searching the internet for larger amounts, but couldn't find any. In fact, I think I'll ask in the handguns forum.

Ruger makes that in a 40 cal and you can use pistol mags in either.

But for a range gun with cheap ammo, get it's little bro the 10/22.

For defense, the 40 kicks the 9's butt.

That said, have fun with your 9mm carbine, it should be fun.

You can shoot rifles at American shooting center.

P.S. Don't buy the Ruger carbine for defense. You are getting stuck with a long gun without the benefits of the extra power of a rifle.
