Sadlak Receiver Inspection Kit for M1A/M14

OK...in this case, just for the M1A.

Picking up a loaded standard today, and have one of these kits on order. Pretty sure I'm going to go with a Sadlak mount versus a Smith or the ARMS #18, just haven't decided on aluminum or steel yet.

Any of you guys use this kit and found your M1A receiver to be way off in spec? Just gauging what I could expect.

It really is a pot shoot - there are USGI receivers which are out of spec too. As great as the m14 is, scoping it is a pain. Luckily sadlak is willing to customize their mounts to fit the receiver even if it is out of spec.

if mine is...then i'm definitely going with sadlak, and paying the additional for the fitting. if it is in spec, then i might play the grinch and get the ARMS #18.

I got one of those closeout Smith mounts for my two year old Loaded, and did a mock fit. Everything fits. Should be a nice shooter when I finally get around to getting some glass. Can't go wrong with Sadlak either. I'm sure it will fit fine.

Sadlak mount showed up today.. WOW!

Couldn't be made any better! (Got the Ti one)

Mount came with the inspection kit. Takes a few min to use.. You will need a good dial caliper of mic if you want them to make your mount custom..

My SA M1a was fine.. Passed the test with no problems.. Mount went on rather quickly and is rock solid!!!

            HIGHLY recomend Sadlak!

I haven't tried the Sadlak kit, but I have two M1As, a scout and a supermatch. I also have the Smith mount and the ARMS18(old style mount). The Arms mount is in spec, and it fits well on the Scout, which seems in spec. The SuperMatch has a narrow groove. The Arms mount doesn't really fit well, but the Smith mount is fine. It also has a narrow ridge. FYI.

                Sadlak

I have to agree with you.. the Sadlak set up is outstanding... I have each of their products (Spring Guide, NM Gas Piston and Scope Mount) for my SA M1A Supermatch and love the way this gun shoots... I have had zero problems with return to zero.. Seemed like great customer support as well, more technical support, since I had no problem related issues but, they seemed more than willing to help me if I were to have problems. Highly recommend these products.
