Newborn 6 pounds 11 ounces SPR

Just finished my recent 18" SPR (I use the term lightly) build.
18" noveske lightweight Stainless Steel (1/7) barrel
Mid length gas system with Noveske gas block
    15" BCM KMR
Joe Bob Spartan billet upper and lower
    Bcm Mod 3 grip
    Magpul pro flip up
    KAC rear flip up
MFT minimalist stock (very minimal rattle)
    Daniel Defense BCG
    RRA National Match trigger
    Ares Effin A Comp
    Magpul 10 rounder

6 pounds 11 ounces (pictured)... Not bad for an 18" AR.

      Digging the weight!

Nice rifle. What lightweight magnified optic/mount can go on that to keep the weight down and not compromise combat worthiness?

I once told a guy at work "check out my kids" showed him 2 Ar's, he got upset, I was proud. Looks great! My second son is a 16" Noveske Reece.
Yes I took the pic, no I didn't go swimming!

What? Nobody is making a 17" rail yet?

I've been thinking about that stock. How's the balance on the rifle with it? front heavy at all? Where's the point of balance?

                      Get a T1 in a Scalarworks mount.

Bottom rifle is 6lb 1.4oz with a standard BCG and H buffer. (with no mag)

That is a good looking rifle OP!

                        I LIKE IT!!

EDIT: I'm curious why you decided to go with midlength instead of rifle gas in a 18" barrel

Keep in mind the 15" KMR weights 5.9 ounces (another 2 ounces for the barrel but) and the stock is about the same. So the weight is all in the center and feels great. I will let you know later the exact pivot point.

The Minimalist is well built and for the weight Does NOT feel cheap. It has a heavy duty feel.

I'm in the process of changing out my 16" to a KMR and Minilaist stock. As of now my 16" with 13" Troy alpha and CTR stock feels heavier (and is).

I got the barrel in a trade, which inspired the rest. I have a 20" rifle length so I'm excited to shoot them both for a comparison.
