I remember seeing someone's photo of a prototype Magpul receiver with a white finish, and then seeing "Black Rifle Disease" spelled out in someone's signature led me to ask this question:
Has anyone built a completely white AR?
Photos?
Does anyone sell white-finished parts and rifles?
Just wondering. HK tried to fight the "black rifle" image by producing the SL8 in light grey--to some degree, color does affect a person's reaction (repeated research has proven this).
For instance, I carry a safety-yellow Benchmade Doug Ritter Mini RSK, and people just don't react the same to it as they do to my all-black Mini RSK. With the yellow handle, people think it's some sort of box-cutter. With the black handle and coated blade, they get scared!
A white rifle should then be less scary or evil-looking...
