    mag fed bolt action question...

Im sure this question gets asked a lot but how come they dont make any chassis that uses AR type mags for bolt guns? I know it can be done (Mossberg MVP), but why not make them more available in other makes/models?

Im only asking because i have lots of AR mags and would be nice to pick up Ar15/10 mags at any shop for a bolt gun then buying special mad mags for them.

PTG makes a bottom metal kit for the Rem 700:

I have one on order, and another member on here as well.

We'll post reviews on it when we get our hands on it.

At one time Remington made a pump carbine that used the AR mags.

Screw the AR mags. For .223ish cartridges, get the AICS .223 mag, it allows for a much longer cartridge. The AR mags are a severe constraint for COAL.

This exactly. If this is a long range precision rifle, AR mags are not going to allow you to load rounds with the bullets you want to be shooting
