I see a lot of tactical chassis for the Rem 700, but nothing for the Win M70. Are there any?

Model 70 chassis

Here is one company but there are many builders out there. I have a few nice Winchester rifles.

Most people wanting a "tactical" bolt rifle are thinking of a 308 or something else on a short action.
Most chassis systems are designed around the short action length as those will be the biggest sellers.
The most popular magazine used in almost every short action chassis is the Accuracy International Chassis System magazine.
The short action win model 70 will not fit a short action AICS mag without the bottom of the receiver being machined.
This problem keeps most chassis makers from making a chassis for the win model 70 as they would not be able to sell their product to people and just have them bolt the m70 receiver into the chassis and have it work with AICS magazines.Randall Rausch

That is not what I'm asking. None of those are tactical chassis, but McMillan stocks, of which I already have. Here is one company but there are many builders out there. I have a few nice Winchester rifles.

Contact MDT and see if they are interested in manufacturing an LSS chassis in a Mod 70. They are pretty easy to work with, and love to hear input. If they feel they have enough desire, they can pretty easily make it. It is a very straightforward type of design that allows you to change out whatever parts you want for your uses.

I know McRee at least used to make chassis for the FNH series of rifles. Depending on the model/action/caliber of the Winchester there could be some cross compatibility there.sigpicComment

There are plenty rifles based on the M70 action. Just not as numerous or standardized as the Rem 700. Less money to be made with fewer numbers and more costly/difficult to take into account of all variations.Comment
