    Composite stocks

What would be the best composite stock for a hunting rifle. A stock that can and will hold up to pretty much all weather and conditions. Heat, cold, wet, dry and any mix there of. Extreme weather, temp swings in short time span. And maintain it's zero through all of this. A stock that is in a traditional configuration and comes in at a affordable price. Inquiring mind wants to know.

    McMillan
I have one on a Ruger 264win mag and it is very nice.
Not cheap but a great stock
A 30cal will reach out and touch them. A 50cal will kick their butt.

Bell and Carlson Medalist. I have a sporter on a 270 WSM and its a great stock with an aluminum bedding block. Very stiff and reasonably priced.

McMillan, Manners, Bell and Carlson. B&C being the least expensive option of the three.

McMillan = way too pricey for what you get
Manners = even more pricey for bland crap that takes 3-4 months to arrive
B&C = well known for producing warped trash, look down the barrel channel of one.
Brown Precision = gawd they invented it and are so far out of touch with reality it's not even funny....just TRY and order one....in person....at the shop on the 99 up in NorCal. You will walk away shaking your head because it hurts from all the drivel they spew.

HS precision = the best compromise I have found.
not too spendy, well made, in stock at some places and you can have it in less than a week.

You can buy Manners stuff and have it in a week. If you want custom, yes, you have to wait.

But yeah, they have a 16-18 week wait because it's crap...

I shoot BC on all my Remington's. I've had them in Montana's cold for elk and California's heat in August deer.
Stays consistent. No issues with loosening of mounts and stays on zero.
Redhawkrifles.com has a wide selection of BC for different brands

              That's my 2cents

Big fan of manners stocks, I like the EH4 for a hunting rifle. Strongly recommend the mini chassis if you have a r700 action. Pretty sure they have a BDL version if you don't want to use mags
