    Remington 783 mounting option

    Hello fellas

I just purchased a Remington 783 and I'm planning to mate it with a Primary Arms 4-14x FFP scope.
I'm trying to figure out a way to put them together.
My question is, if anyone has experience with mounting an optic to model 783 and what your favorite method is.

My current choice is to just purchase a set of high rings from Remington.
Would there be any better way to mount an optic?

You will need low or medium rings depending on the barrel contour.

I bought the medium rings from remington. They sell 783 specific rings that work perfect! I mounted a leupold vari XIII 6x26. I'm dropping rounds in the same hole!

I used remington rings on mine and they are great. Just go with those if you want to have no issues. After couple hundred 30/06 rounds there nince and tight one there.

This is the way that worked for me. I initially used two Weaver bases and Burris Signature Zee Rings I had on hand. However, the scope tube wasn't long enough to set the eye relief in the proper position. I had to crawl the stock to get a sight picture. Needed a Picatinny rail to slide the rings back a couple of notches. AR-15 Barrel's solution is much less expensive than the Ken Farrell bases I usually use.
