My dad's got an old model 94 that belonged to my grandpa. All we have is half a box of ammo but finding more has been pretty impossible so far.

It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.

If you were close and I could find them I would hand you a full (but old) box of Remington.Comment

My mother hunted deer every year on our property in northern MI, all she ever used was a old Marlin lever action chambered in 25-20 I think my sister ended up with it. Mom took a lot of deer with it,US Navy Retired, NRA Lifetime member. Member CRPA

It could be, I don't really know, rifle was originally bought by my great grandfather, who passed it on to my grandfather, they both used it for a deer rifle, grandpa died in '54 and my dad wasn't much of a hunter, he shoots it every now and then, but it's been a while now. It's either mismatched or the stock was re-stained at some point.Comment

A quick search pointed to that cartridge being based on 30-30. Ammo is out there, but you could also reload using plentiful 30-30 cases as a starting point.
edit - looked it up; OUCH! Forming dies is $150 not counting rest of die/shell holder!
