Hey all... due to life circumstances, I'm moving back to Cali for a few years. I've been gone awhile, and it seems like every time I talk to someone I hear about more gun laws. I've got the info I need for my AR and handguns it sounds like, but just want to make sure there's no funny business with bolt guns as well. I'm assuming 10 round mag limits still apply, but I don't need bullet buttons on bolt guns do I?

No BB for bolt action. 10 round limit applies, yes.sigpic -
In order to CA legal, bolt-action rifles...
... need a barrel length of 16" or greater
... need an overall length of 26" or greater (measured with the firearm in the shortest possible firing configuration, such as stock folded/collapsed)
... can not be chambered in .50BMGsigpic

If your importing mags ten round limit applies, if you left mags here( maybe parents house) that you bought prior to the 2000 ban then you can have mags that hold more than ten rounds in certain guns.Comment
