    Winchester 9422

Would there be any legality's if I drilled and tapped my lever to work like the ones in the Rifelman? I know some will think that having a rifle that fires when the action is closed a little crazy but it is fun. Would it violate any Ca laws?

Couldn't you just use durable thread or zip-ties to secure the trigger back? (Wrap it around the stock or something..) Really not sure if that would work.
    War is mostly waiting.

I don't believe it will fire like that. I'm pretty sure the trigger has to reset. The Ty rap idea is something I haven't thought about good idea thanks.

Back in the day they had a flip out little lever that would do exactly what you're thinking of.

Try and google one up.....it's a lever action and an original part, I'm sure even in Crapifornia it would be legal.

          I'll give that a try.
I had one of those on my BLR loved that thing. Sadly it disappeared while I was in boot camp.

            Buford,

Why would you do that to a 9422? That model is a collector's item...as long as you don't screw with it.

"The Rifleman" was a TV show, not reality.

legality or not, it is a very dangerous modification to a lever rifle. You never, ever want a firearm that fires when the action is closed. Tragedy may eventually result.
