Anyone have any links or advice on narrowing the sides of a rifle barrel? I want to 'slabside' about 14 " to allow a narrow fhg. I want to remove about 1/8 " depth on each side. Yes...its a mosin scout project.

To do it right, find someone with a milling machine who knows how to use it and is willing to help you.
If you are asking about bubbaing it yourself, a file or a disc grinder, or a belt sander. I vote disc grinder because faster = better cuz you can get back to shooting sooner. Belt sander is easier to keep straighter, and is what sword and knifemakers use in their trade most often for shaping. Yes...i measured again and i only need to remove about .065" from each side...just checking if anyone has done this on the mosin barrelComment
