I've never used their services/products, but this might be an option:

my winchester 30-30 i have to hold that last part up as well its a natural thing to do it when firing.I compare it to a 1911 that has that push safety on the rear of the grip.

    Hickfu-normal I would assume. I have both. Post 64 & Remlin 336.
My 64 has a little play in it at the end of the swing. Maybe someone who has a few can correct me...

I would imagine the feel is different as the winchesters are top/angle eject and the marlin is a side eject if I remember correctly. Hopefully someone more experienced in lever action can chime in. I could be totally off.
Marlins lever goes up and stays solid. Winchesters goes up and stays but the last little bit you have to hold up to release safety so trigger works.

Are there any companies that make large loop replacements/good places to get one? Don't worry this is an early 90's production rifle, I would not dream of doing this to my pre 64.

Thanks I will check them out, have seen similar stuff and was not sure the rossi or marlin style would fit.
