    6.5x55 Barnes LRX 127gr Loads...

I wanted to try these out in my 6.5 SE. Anybody have favorite loads they want to share?

This will be for a Savage modern action so stout loads are ok. I have H4831 mainly, but also have Varget and Benchmark (which may be too fast).

    WW748 and 760
    IMR and H 4350
    R21 and 22

Not much experience with VV powders so nothing to add there.

You *might* want to have a mod move this to the reloading forum though....what with it being the right place and ...you know...uhh, stuff ?

      Thorax--what kind of charges?

And you are correct with moving it to Reloading. I was reading threads here and just decided to post without changing threads...oops.

I am an old school reloader, what works for me might not work for you.
I would never give out a charge weight because no 2 firearms are the same.

Experiment around, find out what works best in YOUR rifle.
The exact same rifle as you have might not be happy with the same load that works in 15 other exact same rifles, there is just no telling until you find out what is the *right* load in yours.

Thanks Thorax. I have read up on tons of info. Was just curious to see what other people were loading. I know no two firearms are alike and most likely will not take the same loads. I do work up slowly (0.2gr increments) in all the cartridges I reload for and was planning to start at 45gr of H4831 anyway. I already load 123gr sst and 140 amaxs for this rifle so I already know some limits of my rifle. Thanks for chiming in.

Again, was just curious to see what others were loading for this particular projectile and the kind of performance they were getting.
