    Looks Good!

Scrap the optic...get a Kahles 624i, A Vortex Razor Gen II, or a NF

The glass is just as important, if not more important than the rifle. But something tells me you know that already

Thanks! Actually your post made me go the 300 WSM route! I cant wait to get it all together. I've been doing my due diligence on scopes and I found a good scope write-up and evaluation here:

This is the executive summary and overall scores from an epic scope field test focused on long-range, tactical rifle scopes in the $1,500+ price range. This represents an unprecedented, data-driven approach to evaluating the best scopes money can buy. Over 400 hours have gone into this research, and the line-up and tests are built on ...

The 300WSM will be a nice cartridge. I went 338 EDGE since I already have a good mid range caliber (284 Shehane) and I wanted to just go as big as I can while staying with a mag bolt. It helped that a lot of guys recommend the edge as well.

There are a lot of guys that would advocate for the 300 WSM here as well. Lots of competitors are using it as well for F-Class and bench competitions.

I went with the 300WSM just because it's cheaper to shoot than the 338 anything.

Some real nice components you got there except for the Bushnell.

I dig it, even the stock.

I don't see anything wrong with a DMR either, but hey I seem to do fine past 1200yards w/out spending over $1200 so maybe I just have young eyes?

Looks like a nice rifle. .300 WSM and ELR is an oxymoron, but it goes very far for such a tiny little cartridge, very accurate too.

That's good advice, I use Kahles on my short actions.

Use Norma brass CCI primers and H4350 powder.
65 grains of H4350 and a 190 grain Sierra matchking will. get you in the ballpark.

Thank you for that!! Ive been leaning towards the 190-210 grain pills.

I was temped into getting a 300WSM once but at the rate this round runs through barrels I turned away. To each their own though and if it works for you then who is to say to not buy it?

Its all about personal likes in the firearm department sometimes. This round will go for sure and can be accurate for sure.

Nice looking collection of parts so far

What is the barrel rate with the 300 WSM?
