Who shoots a model 70 HV in .223?

I just loaded up a couple groups of ammo for a quick informal shoot tomorrow...The only other time I shot it, 26.5-27 grains of H322 under a 40g Varmageddon had a LOT of promise. It hated both 36g and 50g Varmint Grenades, and seemed indifferent to Nosler Ballistic Tip Varmints and Hornady Vmax.

Anyone who runs one of these have a pet load for it? I'm going to do a real ladder test hopefully on Tuesday, but tomorrow should give me some ideas of what to expect.

Shot it some today. It hates varmint grenades for some reason. Lots of less than 1" 5 shot groups, some with called fliers. Had one 3 shot group at 3/8". Will measure with calipers when I get home.

Win brass, CCI srp, 26.5g of h322, 40g varmageddon factory 2nds.

I'll start real load development on Tuesday now that I've got some brass to neck size!

Hornady Superperformance Factory Loads , 36grain, work also on squirrels.

I have not taken a cartridge apart to see the powder volume used.

I have the Win 70 HBV but it's in 22-250. Loves 50 grain flat base and Varget.
