In my Winchester '73 I load 157gr Badman LRNFPs over 3gr of Trailboss in 38spl brass. I load them a bit long as I've found both the '73 and esp the '92 to be cartridge length sensitive. If you have .357 brass you should be gtg.

I have to second the issues with the fiocchi ammo. I have had feed problems in my henry and k77
      it is also very dirty
and the accuracy is poor in the K77

So far, my Rossi 92 has eaten everything I've fed it with the exception of some very old .357 158 grain SWC. I haven't loaded anything specific for it yet.
I'm retired. That's right, retired. I don't want to hear about the cop who stopped you today or how you didn't think you should get a ticket. That just makes me grumpy!

          Thanks all.

Winchester 1873 is the new platform, in fact, a pair of them -- both a short rifle and a sporting rifle. Found them on GB (Eddy's Shooting Sports out of the Bay area) and they have the same serial numbers (except the letter that indicates the model.)

          Gotta support my cowboy habit!

            Feeding the .357 Lever

Very nice! Definitely take a look at my load above using Trail Boss as a good starting point for a cowboy type load. Depending on your gun, it may favor magnum length rounds for reliable and smooth feeding. The Puma M92 mine get run through definitely does, but I don't always want a full power magnum load. Trail Boss is a great case-filling option that has plenty of oomph under a 158gr bullet. It's more like a slightly warm 38spcl.
