Help Me Choose a Camo Pattern

I'm going to paint my deer gun, but don't know what pattern/color scheme to go with. The setting that I want to match is what's shown in the pictures below. My first thought is a dark brown base, then mostly light tan, and a little dark green. Suggestions and sample pictures are most welcome. Thanks!

Why bother camo-ing your rifle when you're just gonna hunt in blue jeans? LOL

Actually I think the multicam colors are a dang good match for the arid CA vegetation.

It will only appeal to your eyes, the animals won't really care. But if you must, get it hydro dipped in something nice.http://raindancehydrographics.com/in...d=46&Itemid=53

I suggest (drum roll) Rustolleum! Use the auto primer red or dark orange as a base coat and then follow up with their camo colors. Make sure you degloss all of it first. That is how I did my shotgun:

I always thought the best cammo pattern for Ca. is rattle snake skin. Those buggers are damn hard to spot, if you can imitate that pattern, you will be good to go.

I agree that animals wont care, we get deer in front yards sometime, and I can get about 5 ft from them before they start to walk off. Maybe the deer know we cant hunt them around here.

Coyote tan/brown with krylon marble black has worked great for me. I certainly noticed a difference in critter reaction when all my stuff is brown or tan. In the dead grass we have in cali it works wonderfully.

Sorry the colors aren't represented too well...

I know its not a bolt gun, but I will be doing the same paint on my R700 when I upgrade the stock:

                  Brownell's Alumahyde Coyote Tan base
                  Rustoleum Earth Brown
                  Rustoleum Forest Green
Pattern applied with a rough coral sponge over the base

Same rifle in shade against a tree: (sorry, iPhone doesn't take great pics in different lighting)

None of my guns are camo, but if I were to dip one of them it would be either Natural Gear or Mossy Oak Bottomland patterns.
