If you have questions on if a gun is legal in California a good resource are the flow charts linked on the top of every page.

If you ask them they do different calibers (50DTC, 416, 338 LM), or atleast they once did em.

SHF made DTC conversion at one time as well, so you may be able to find one on the used market too.

Otherwise, the Serbu BFG-50 is available in .50DTC for a little less money.

www.ferret50.com makes DTC AR conversions and one of my customers is selling his Bluegrass Armory Viper in .50DTC if you might be interested in one of those.

That's not entirely correct, as it can be used in a configuration that isn't a rifle.
Here's an example with the KNS spade grip: http://calguns.net/calgunforum/showthread.php?t=517822

Yes, it is certainly true for the AR conversion model, but the OP's post was asking specifically about the 'rifle', implying that a rifle is desired.

If not... I'd save up for an M2HB... lots more fun than a tripod mounted single shot!

Yeah, I know. I was referring to your comment about the upper needing to be attached to a RAW.

As far as an M2... someday...

Used to have one....my version was the side mag one, 20 inch fluted match grade barrel. I had it custom made and think mine was #3 or 4. Even had the "Have a nice day" engraved in the end of the muzzle brake.

Very light....had to put a 4 pound lead weight into the AR buttstock to even out the rifle.

The owner used to be known as "welder boy" and worked for Serbu. Good quality upper. Only complaint was using hotter loads, really had to whack the handle to open bolt.
