My new Timney trigger

I recently got a new Timney for my Remington to replace the x-mark that got recalled, and what a world of difference! It is amazing! Consistently breaks! I love it and wished I upgraded sooner!
This is one of the groups I shot with it, and am pretty proud, though I know still have some ways to go to keep up with some of you guys!

Side question: proper way to measure group, I've seen people do it edge to edge, edge to edge and subtracting the bullet diameter, and middle to middle, what is the "proper way"?

i made the switch and landing .223 on a nickle is almost to easy at 100 yards..

It's amazing that it took a recall for people to get rid of that piece of trash. The XMP is a joke--always has been, always will. While Timneys aren't great, they are infinitely better than the XMP.

I don't on hand, I'm out of town right now, but it is a Remington AAC-SD with a SWFA SS 10x on it

Measurements achieved this way are usually shown to be smaller than the actual group is.

The bullet diameter is rarely equal to the diameter of the hole in the target paper.

The more accurate method is to measure the diameter of a single bullet hole in the target paper and then subtract that from the overall group measurement.

That's awesome, I was thinking of doing that to my rifle. Did you do the install your self?

My cousin did actually. But looked simple enough, just be careful when punching the pins out, there's one you don't want all the way out that holds the bolt release spring i believe it is in place

When I was installing the Timney trigger on my rifle, that one pin had a loose fit & it fell right out along with the spring. After a few minutes, no problem in putting the spring back in place.

I pointed that out one time on another gun forum and stirred up a sh*tstorm. People were genuinely angry. It was pretty funny.

I hope you told them to go measure some bullet holes and prove you wrong.
