Camp Pendleton Open 9-27,28-14

The Santa Margarita Gun Club will be holding the Camp Pendleton Open NRA Regional 1500 point Grand Aggregate XTC Match.

Saturday 9-27-14 will be a NRA Regional 1000 point XTC Aggregate Match.

Sunday 9-28-14 will be a 500NMC/Rifle EIC. There will also be a Pistol EIC and a CMP Garand/Springfield/Vintage Military (GSM) Match.

Competitors will be able to compete in all events.

The matches will be held at Camp Pendleton, Naval Special Warfare Complex, Range 116A and 116B.

Pre-register by 1800, Wednesday 9-24-14.

You guys hold any modern rifle matches?

I have a R700 / M110 I want to run. CP isn't far my place of living.

We hold NRA High Power Across the Course (XTC) matches. Iron sights only and you have to be able to shoot 10 round strings of rapid fire with a magazine change (2 and 8 or 5 and 5). The distances are 200/300/600 yards.

We hold Mid-Range (MR) matches. The course of fire that we use is slow fire prone, single round loading, 600 yards. You can shoot slung up or as F-Class. F-Class uses scopes, front and rear rests.

We also hold Long Range (LR) (1000 yard) matches. Like the MR matches, you can shoot from a sling or F-Class.
