    Hard Case Organization?

I picked up a Pelican 1750 hard case for my Remy 700 AAC-SD and before I start cutting up the solid foam, I'd like some input (preferably pictures) of how y'all have your hard cases organized.

I am debating on seperating the harris bi-pod and cutting a seperate area for it, as well as a seperate location for the bolt. What else do you keep in the case - ammo? cleaning supplies? other rifles/pistols?

    Thanks...

I've added cut outs for 6 AI mags and a coiled up sling.

Nice. Removing the bolt is a good idea (just in mind opinion)

I've changed mine a number of times over the years.

Currently, the rifle with bolt in, bipod on, sling on.

Think about it. You dont want to add/remove all these items every time you go to the range.

I have one cutout area for misc pens, small target dots, lens pen, chamber flag.

            One small cutout for brush/jag.

I keep full length 1 piece cleaning rod and bore guide in the case too.

I had cutouts for mags/sling/rear bag.

However, the mags/rear bag stay in my pack now.

I also keep about 2 pounds of dessicant in socks in the case.

My rifle lives in that case. It has since about 2005 with zero issues. I do bake the dessicant about twice per year.

Think carefully about what layout you want. Use a piece of chalk to outline everything. Then cut it with a large toothed bread knife.

            Save your cut outs.

Screw up or change your mind.... put the cut outs back in... get the next layer of foam and try again.....
