For anything other than a Remington 700, CDI is probably the way to go.
For a 700, PTG often puts their bottom metal on sale for $75 and I charge $75 to inlet a stock for it.
Net cost ends up being $150 plus an AICS magazine.

Does their kit fit on the Rem 700 5R 308 with HS Precision stock?

Any factory short action 700 stock will require inletting for an AICS magazine compatible bottom metal.

There are two options that "drop in" to factory stocks.
            Both use proprietary magazines.
            Both suck.

Most people that try either one will end up switching to AICS mags and DBM in the future if they ever try to seriously use the gun.

Had a CDI DBM in my Howa 308 before. Took a bit of work to make it work but the DBM was not at fault; the Howa action just took additional trim work to make it work with the AICS mags. Quality part and great company to work with. Like Randall said, for Rem 700s there are better options...

Shameless plug for my HS Precision stock, inlet by Randall himself, with PTG DBM for sale... http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...d.php?t=953447

I run CDI on my savage. Works fine.

Luckily, I know someone that has a CNC mill who inletted my stock for me.

Otherwise, this is a good deal...

And Randall (AR15Barrles) works on my guns too. Though I outsourced the milling to someone else for the CDI.... Randall does really great work at good prices.

Treat them the same as an HS stock.
