    savage 10PC

    first trip to range today, rifle performed admirably, but, had a lot of hard extractions, and a scratch on the brass from the 12:00 area of chamber, scratch or small gouge better description, any ideas?

    Your front scope base screw is too long.

    You need to pull out the screw and file it down shorter.

          thanx for advise, correct by the way,frony screw too long, now functions normally, kmac, will post pics w/ zeiss scope later today

              Kudos for running a decent scope. Most people buy crappy scopes for their otherwise very capable rifles.
