Same gun, same POA, different person = POI different?

So I sighted in my Savage HH 308 with Leupold PRW rings now. The Burris rings I had sucked! The scope walked out. I guess it was out of spec. First time that happened to me.

A guy complimented my rifle and I offered him to shoot my rifle. He said what's the POA? Told him dead center at 100 yards. His shot always landed on the bottom of my target. ( see picture. Bottom 2 inch target, Upper Left 3 inch target, Middle Right 2 inch target. bullet hole already patched with shoot n c )

I guess different cheek weld and how he sees the reticle? My brother shot my rifle and pretty much POA/POI.

Maybe the guy just can't shoot. It's a more common affliction than you might think.

Its not uncommon to have a POI shift between shooters. Cheek weld, comb height, eye relief, and all other fundamentals come in to play.

Different shooters have different zeros but let me qualify that by saying most expert shooters will have similar holds and techniques so their zeros are very close.

Not having your AO set to the correct distance could cause POA/POI issues when looking through the scope from different vantage points.

I'm a lefty and sometimes I can shoot a decent group but I notice that when I shoot a right handed person's rifle I will be shooting consistently left of their POI. This is even worse with shotguns especially if they have some cast-off built into the stock.

Shooting my rifles right handed, I always hit slightly right of my normal POI.

My wife and I always seem to shoot to different POI's. That's why her rifles are always sighted for/by her, and mine by me. We are by no means anywhere near "expert" so we probably each do something wrong!

Shooting my buddy's scoped AR, we are off about 1 minute in the windage and elevation departments. The low scope height results in me having to force my cheek into the stock to get a sight picture. This lateral and vertical force prevents a natural point of aim and causes my shots to pull right and low. (I am right handed)
