Sharing Scope and Scope mount with AR?

I am going to get a bolt action soon and would like to know if I can share the scope and scope mount I use on my AR. Thanks.

What mount and optic? I suppose you could but it probably wont be optimal.

1.535" above the rail is gonna be quite a chin weld unless you have a highly adjustable stock. I'm guessing you are going to want low rings, under 1" above the rail.

You can do it, but yeah AR scope mounts are way higher than that of a bolt guns.

In general, NO.
That does not stop people from using AR mounts on their bolt guns though.
The only situation where a 1.5" high mount is warranted on a bolt gun is when you use one of the chassis systems that wraps a forend tube around the bolt gun's barrel.

I would choose different mount Go with the ADM vs the Larue reason the Larue uses a blade to latch to the pic rail causing marring and damage if going on and off a rifle. Whereas the ADM uses two side locking bars and has a tight fitting block that fits into the pic slots to hellp with repeatability. jmo

True... but swapping isn't a big deal if you use a quality QD mount.

There is a small difference in zero between the two rifles a share optics for. I zero the turrets for my main rig, and dial the correction when swapping.

If you use good stuff, you don't have to worry about re-zeroing, but just the different between the two.

I cant afford to spend $2500+ on optics for each rifle so I rather share it vs getting mid level stuff for two rifles.

This assumes the mounting system works for both. I run a chassis on my bolt action and to move to an AR is a drop in.
