The place most local to me says $120 for one color and masking off the markings. That's literally the highest price i could find online, so does anyone have a favorite source to go to in LA or mail to?

Scope Cerakote options

You thought about buying a rattle can of Duracoat for $35 and doing it yourself? -
His name is Wes. I had him Cerakote one of my rifle builds and his work and turn around times are insanely good. I'm sure he's a lot busier now that his company is growing but it seems as if it's still pretty quick. His prices are low and he has a proper oven to cure the finish.Last edited by anti; 06-04-2014, 4:04 PM.Truckers make the world go 'round!

Wes did two of my scopes FDE for super cheap and they came out great. If they are leupold it doesn't void the warranty either. I checked with their customer service department.Comment

i see, yeah there should be absolutely no reason for it to be that expensive. as i stated before, my local guy does an insanely thorough job for half that cost. from what i hear, different color option cost diff amounts. i typically only go with FDE and coyote tan but silver shouldnt be double the price.
he may be charging you extra if he doesnt have the color on hand but even then, you would think he would have silver in stock. especially for something as small as a scope.Comment

I think they only use the air-dry ceracoat on scopes as you can't bake scopes.Randall Rausch
