I've seen these for sale at several gun shows in NV, AZ and UT. The tag always has 'Rare' with a too-high price (~$400? as I recall)

I've seen people look at them but I've never seen anybody buy one.

I'd buy one for its novelty value if it was really cheap.

If it functions reliably and can be cycled without breaking the cheekweld it seems like it would be a good all around rifle.

It does remind me of the Mini 14's they use in Britain. The gas system is disabled somehow so each round has to be cycled manually.

Can't you legally have a folding stock and use pre ban mags with these since they aren't semi auto?

All of the "assault weapon" features don't apply since it's manually operated, so you are correct.

However, you still need to meet the CA OAL of 26" when folded, unlike the feds who measure it with the stock extended.
