A few months ago I picked up my first bolt-action - a Savage Axis .223 from Big 5 with some gift cards that I got from the in-laws for Christmas. It came with a Bushnell scope (3x-9x I think) already mounted. I had only shot it a couple of times at a local range at 25 yds.
Last weekend I was able to shoot it at 100 yds and was very impressed (probably more surprised!) with how well this rifle shoots.
I picked up a Caldwell XLA bipod for it and the rest is completely stock.
I was shooting with the bipod resting on the shelf with the stock on my shoulder, free hand supporting the stock, and I was sitting on a stool.
4 shot groups. Target is a 12" Splatterburst. Center and 3 o'clock are Wolf Gold 55gr and 6 o'clock is PPU 55gr. There is a plastic push-pin between the 8 and 9 ring (4 o'clock) for size reference. The flier above the center was definitely my flinch:

I didn't get as much shooting time with it as I would have liked as I was sharing time with my AR and my buddy was also shooting and we were sharing a lane. I plan to spend some more time shooting it - it was a whole lot of fun!
