Remington had a pump action 223 rifle, the 7615. Too bad it's a bit hard to find.
You can give peace a chance...

Six in one hand, half a dozen in the other...
I saw that in a press release after Shot Show. It looks neat, but I don't know if it's with $1200 though.Has anyone seen this? No bullet button but its a pump. Sorry if it's a dupe!

I had one of those, and I had a Choate side-folding stock for it. It was neat, sure. But, I still chose my Arms Room-modified Ruger Mini-14 over it almost all of the time. I just preferred a semi-auto, that's all. Still, it was a novel idea. Just my thoughts. --1911ShooterPhilRemington had a pump action 223 rifle, the 7615. Too bad it's a bit hard to find.

There's a fellow here on Calguns who was selling something similar. I'll see if I still have the link somewhere...So I was driving home from the range and I noticed that the scent of warm steel, burnt gunpowder and lukewarm coffee combined and smelled oddly of... Peanut butter?! Man, the Hoppe's is going to my head.

If someone would manufacture a model in the $500-$700 range, I think they'd be an instant success.1A - 2A = -1A

Here's the PM he sent me!:
Universal Manual Operating System.
(UMOS)
Hello... I have a final price and delivery date. Week of May 18th. This first batch, with prepayment will be $270 each, shipping included. That will be our wholesale price to stores. After this intro, retail will be $340. I'll need at least half on deposit by April 30 for the first run, after that you might be waiting till fall.
My final revision of the kit is being used and abused by Rich Wolfe for several weeks now with no issues of any kind. Universal fitment of parts has been proven on 7 random upper receivers. Your upper will require a GI style barrel nut ( I can supply one with your kit if you need). Your carrier will need its gas key replaced with the one specific to this kit. The kit is being produced for barrels with a 3/4" gas block journal. If you have a 5/8, 7/8 or .920, let me know and I'll make sure you get the compatible part. All kits include a bipod stud and picatinny sight base at the end of the main tube. Works for all barrel lengths.
If you want to have the kit delivered on complete dedicated upper, that can be arranged at a very competitive price. Just specify the details of what you want when you contact us. If I assemble your kit for you I can guarantee proper function. (there's one hole drilled and tapped to mate two of the kit's components- no mods to your barrel or upper)If you do it yourself and botch or damage something, I'll have replacement parts, but you'll pay for them. I will maintain a warranty on the components against failure under intended operation. The production kits are all black anodized. We can also cera-coat for you before it ships.
Best way to pay is by phone with a credit card. We'll also take a check or money order. Sorry, no paypal.

If the price comes down, Id be interested but for what they are going for right now, no way in hell.
Realistically, how long do you think it will be before prices begin to drop for them and how low do you think they will go?Unless we keep the barbarian virtues, gaining the civilized ones will be of little avail. Would be nice if they geared the action so that you do not have to move the pump so far to open/close the bolt. Having to move the foregrip 6" to chamber a new round... bleh...NRA Life Member

I think the folded length is 26.75". As it was explained to me, pump action rifles just have to be 26" to be legal. This gun was designed in large part for CA buyers they wouldn't have made it illegal for CA lolUnless we keep the barbarian virtues, gaining the civilized ones will be of little avail.
