cabelas has 200 pmc bulk w/ dry box for 179.99 shipped no tax seems reasonable, before i purchase any where else to look?

As much as I don't want you to buy it (So I can save up and buy it) the Freedom Munitions 150gr is GTG!

In my Savage 10P 18" 5R 1-10" twist, I shot 5 round groups of FM 150gr Reman, FM 168gr HPBT Match, and PPU 168gr HPBT Match. The FM 150gr Reman (also the cheapest) gave the tightest group at about 1/3 MOA, with the FM 168 Match 1/2 MOA.

One week later I took the gun to the range to confirm and it was indeed consistent, 150gr Reman FMJ's from Freedom Munitions still getting 1/2 MOA or better. Their match load isn't bad but if their basic FMJ loads are performing up to the Match load par, then no need to spend the extra $. Everything they make is great though, one of my few sources of ammunition for all my firearms.

dafuq? PMC is $0.90 these days? I have used it for cheap plinking and it's above average for bulk ammo as it's consistent, but it's a light flimsy bullet. $0.90 is crazy, wait for Norma match to go on sale for a little more, then you get an accurate round with a good case to reload, or just buy Lapua for double.

I was at Cabela's outside of Reno today and despite my hardest attempt to buy something on my way back to CA, nothing there really enticed me. Their Herter's brand .308 steel case was still $11/20 rounds steel cased. A lot of selection but with Freedom Munitions cranking out their own FMJ, Match, A-Max and with Palmetto State Armory selling FGMM 175gr for $23.99/box it's hard to buy things in store sometimes.

I noticed you're in the SFV. Please be sure the bo0littz pressed into those brass cases aren't magnetic, indicating a steel-core. We're in high drought and we don't want any add'l brush fire hazards. I mention this only because ranges such as Angeles and A Place To Shoot and even Oaktree are among foothill brush.

Rangemasters should be checking everyone's ammunition these days, but they often don't. I know that Burro Canyon only checks the sample you bring into the office when you sign in...

Hope I don't sound too preachy, but I just learned the lesson even though the Red Army 7.62 X 39 I just bought says "lead core" on the box, it is still magnetic, and therefore I can't shoot it anywhere except the open desert. Cannot also shoot magnetic ammo indoors, either, what with all the powder accumulation.

                          Shoot straight! and stay safe!

                          :-)

I've been meaning to check if I'd they are so I can shoot at burro.

                            Thanks for the reminder tho!

I'm interested to hear how they shoot. They have good prices and I love the x-treme bullets their company sells. What was the bullet weight you chose?
