    Recommendations on where to buy

25th anniversary is next year (it's only been 25?!?). Wife has always wanted a .357 lever-action rifle (her Dad has one). She likes cowboy/western stuff, she'd love a Winchester but looks like that's not happening.
I asked her how about a Henry? She'd like that too. I've overheard her telling her friend that she's looking forward to it.
So, looking for 2 Henry rifles (brass receiver), one in .357 and one in.44 (for me). I'd like to have some engraving done on hers (initials on one side, nickname on the other).
Any suggestions on a shop that might cut a deal on this project? I'm in Central Valley (Modesto) .
    Thanks in advance

Try to have her hold one at a gun store first. The Henrys are known for being pretty heavy, although they are slick and the company has great customer service. I would try looking around for a used Marlin 1894 (avoid the new ones made by Remington). They have gone up in price but you should be able to find a used one for about the same price as a new Henry. I have a pre-Remlin 1894 in .357 Magnum and it is one of my favorite guns.

It's an anniversary present, I don't mind spending a few dollars.
It's an anniversary present, a used rifle, really?
She can handle a Henry with no problem, she's tougher than alor of men

Why not? Does she only want a '92?

ETA: looks like 92s are available in 357 this year as well.
