The dovetail slot might not be a standard size. Determine this first.

I suggest a marbles bullseye rear sight with a red fiber optic front. You'll need to use calipers to take measurements and then do some math to figure out the what sights will work. It's a bit tricky but not rocket science, you can do it!

You don't really need the rear sight, you just need a taller front sight. This front sight might not fit on the carbine because of the barrel band.

It may be the front sight that needs to be taller... I have the same issue on my 44 and that's the fought I am going.... Marbles makes a sight and has a chart to determine which one to use...

are you looking for something that replaces the rear dovetail or a peep sight and if a peep a receiver mounted or tang mounted?

I just bought the Skinner barrel sight but havent installed it yet so that is the way I went. There seems to be some fit issues with the Steve's gunz safety replacement receiver mount so I just thought I'd try the skinner. Looks nice

Me too, my .357 is pretty good up to 100 yards, its a fun gun to shoot. I'm not liking the carbine tho..

I bought a taller red\orange sight for the carbine (44 mag) but I need to get a bigger hammer to punch the factory sight off and I'm not sure its going to clear the barrel band.

You may need a taller front, too. My 92 shoots so high a replacement rear won't go low enough to fix it.

I suspect you are right, but will test first with new rear. I did send it back to Rossi a while ago because of a poorly fit lever...I also asked for a taller front sight...they fixed lever, test fired and said there was no problem found. Like hell. Anyway, the test target they sent had an impressive group, but I'm not sure how what sight picture they could have been looking at.

Despite the minor glitch, the rifle is one of my favorites, and I've got to say the customer service with these guys pretty damn good.
