    FNH SPR .308 action value?

Anyone have an idea of the value/price for an FNH SPR action? Looking into selling or trading but I am having a hard time getting a price on it since FN does not sell just the action. It is new, never fired, or barreled.

It looks like a FN made Winchester model 70? I like it. Where did you get it?

These were being sold for $300 a few years ago.
A bunch of people bought them to build rifles with.
I would pay $300 for it and build a rifle with it...

Last I saw (probably year and a half ago) CDNN was selling them for $300 with bottom metal and 1 mag.

That looks like one of the older USRA manufactured units. There is no coating on it. The finish is a standard blue/black oxide. Does it have "FN USA Fredricksburg VA" engraved on the left side of the action?

Does it have a Near Mfg 25moa rail?

When the USRA plant shutdown, they blew out the actions for about $300-350. These days, they're probably worth about $450-500.
                  Luck favors the prepared.

The original battle plan did not survive initial contact with the enemy.

It does have the fn usa fred va on it, and a 20moa rail, the coating looks like oxide

Thinking of making a Palma rifle from it. I can get a Palma barrel from Brunos, anyone in San Diego good at installing barrels?

It's not difficult, but make sure the smith knows how to do it. It's not like a M700 rebarrel.

(I just rebarrelled buffybuster's SPR action yesterday)

i'd keep it. I have an SPR and i love it.

be sure to get the CDI bottom metal. mine works flawlessly.

Just an FYI not everyone works on them. Ask your smith before anything. Ive had a few of them, I like them for hunting rifles. I wont build another "match" rifle with one.
